A cashmere shawl is a versatile accessory that can be worn in different ways to create a casual or dressy style. You can wear a cashmere shawl with a dress, pants, a pants suit, a short or long skirt and blouse, shorts, and even a bathing suit. Here are some ways to wear your cashmere shawl to create unique styles:
Cashmere Belted Shawl – Wrap your cashmere shawl around your shoulders and allow it to hang loosely down your back and on either side of your chest. Put a leather belt around your waist so that it is covered by your shawl in the back. Tie your leather belt around your waist in the front so that it holds your cashmere shawl close to your body on either side of your chest. Stretch both of your arms out to the side to form loose sleeves with your cashmere shawl. This look works well with a slim dress or straight skirt and sweater.
Cashmere Neck Scarf – Fold your cashmere shawl lengthwise into a long scarf. Place your scarf around the back of your neck with one end hanging down one side of your chest to your waist. Wrap the other end of your scarf completely around your neck and let it hang on the other side of your chest to your waist. Loosen the part of your scarf that is around the front of your neck so that it hangs like a loose fabric necklace.
Cashmere Snood – Place your cashmere scarf on top of your head and allow it to hang down on either side of your face. Take the left side of your scarf and wrap it around the front of your neck and over your right shoulder. Take the right side of your scarf and also wrap it around the front of your neck and over your left shoulder. This will create a snood that covers your head and ears and allows both ends of your scarf to loosely hang down your back.
Cashmere Tied Shrug – Place your cashmere scarf loosely around your shoulders and bring both ends in front of your arms. Take both sides of your scarf and tie a half knot by wrapping one end of your scarf around the other end. Allow both ends of your scarf to hang down in front of your chest. This method looks good when you have a cashmere scarf with long fringe on both ends.
Cashmere Blanket – Place your cashmere shawl around your back and allow it to hang loosely from your left shoulder. Take the right end of your cashmere shawl and throw it over your left shoulder to your back. Your scarf will completely cover both of your arms and create a soft loop across your chest.
Cashmere Dress Topper – This is a unique cashmere scarf that is made with a hole in the middle for your head and neck. It is similar to a poncho but has uneven edges. This style of cashmere scarf is very easy to put on and wear. Different looks are created by allowing the long ends of your scarf to hang symmetrically or asymmetrically around your body.
The more you wear your cashmere scarf, you more ways you will find to tie and wear it. Experiment with different knots and twist them to hang from different parts of your body. The same knot that you usually wear tied across your chest can be totally different when it hangs down your side or back. Play with your scarf and have fun creating unique looks for different occasions. Keep these great ideas in mind when you check out cashmere wraps and scarves by Paula & Chlo.
